My name is Jamie Reynolds and I want to change the world. 

 

The most important lesson I’ve learned in trying to change the world is this: the hardest part of changing the world is changing myself. Even if I were always the person I aspire to be, unexpected challenges would still arise—slowing me down and pulling me away from who I want to become. Resistance is real. That’s why we need one another if lasting change is going to take hold.

During my teaching career, I loved challenging my students to reach their full potential. Many of them exceeded both the academic milestones and personal goals I had set for them. There is nothing more fulfilling than reaching our own potential—and helping others reach theirs.

Now, instead of challenging my students, I am challenging myself: to reach my full potential, to go beyond the milestones I’ve set, and to help others do the same.
